The SpotlessAir PureOne began over 25 years ago as large industrial air purifiers responsible for destroying hundreds of pounds of pollution per day in factories and hospitals around the world. These large units protect people working in hospitals, emergency rooms, operating rooms, anatomy labs and some of the most polluted factories in existence from potentially deadly bacteria and harmful VOCs. The PureOne is simply a miniaturized version of that same technology.
See what the PureOne has accomplished in the following examples:
Bacteria Example
Third party, real-world testing of airborne bacteria in a gross anatomy lab. The baseline petri dish test yielded well over 100 bacteria colonies. After two weeks with the PureOne, the same petri dish test yielded only 1 bacteria colony, a reduction of 99%. Imagine how much sickness we can eliminate if bacteria in our homes is reduced by 99%.
Formaldehyde Example
Formaldehyde is a common household VOC. It is found in carpet, furniture, glues and various other household items. In fact, a baby crawling across new carpet will ingest the equivalent of four (4) cigarettes a day of pollution, most of which is formaldehyde (EPA). Surprisingly, it is also found in Febreze, which is marketed as a household odor eliminator and freshener. Below is a test that was conducted in a 7-cubic foot acrylic box. For control, Febreze was sprayed on a napkin and placed into the box with a fan running to simulate movement in the room. The napkin was removed at time 0. Runs were completed with and without the PureOne air purifier.
Acetone Example
Acetone is a common household VOC found in paint, thinners, nailpolish remover and many other household items. When painting a new room, nearly 50% of the paint evaporates off of the wall in the form of airborne VOC. Below is a test that was conducted in a 7-cubic foot acrylic box. For control, 1mL of acetone was dispersed on a napkin and placed into the box with a fan running to simulate movement in the room. The napkin was removed at time 0. Runs were completed with and without the PureOne air purifier.
Particulate Example
This particulate test was conducted in an 1800 square foot home. The house represents normal living conditions (cooking, sleeping, HVAC running, doors opening and closing, car moving in and out of the garage, visitors, etc.). This is exactly the type of environment in which air purifiers are used. BioTec, an accredited third party air quality testing company, completed the test. As depicted below, the first few days showed very little change. By day 14, the house was as clean as an ISO5 CLEAN ROOM (bacteria test not completed).
